Kat The Midwife
Logo Design, Branding, Art & Illustration, Social Media
When Independent Midwife Kat set out to launch Mother of All Podcasts, she knew she didn’t want the usual clean, holistic, pastel-toned branding often associated with motherhood and wellness. She wanted something bold, unfiltered, and unapologetically her — and that’s exactly what I set out to create ✍️
Inspired by a photo Kat sent of herself — bright red hair, sunglasses, hands in the air, exuding main character energy — I designed a digitally hand-drawn logo with intentionally rough, rebellious edges. The hair spells out Mother in psychedelic, flowing typography, capturing both her personality and the podcast’s unfiltered, no-BS spirit.
The brand reflects the podcast’s mission: to have honest, often irreverent conversations about birth, bodies, partnerships, and parenthood, tearing up the rulebook of what these conversations should look and sound like.
Alongside the logo, I created a set of sketch-style assets in the same rebellious, handmade aesthetic — perfect for YouTube thumbnails, merch, social content and marketing collateral.
The final delivery included a full brand guideline and asset pack, ready for Mother of All Podcasts to make its mark.
